Practical Canberra Extension

This project was a simple three-bed plus living room extension. Our clients were dissatisfied with the way their home failed to connect to their sloping backyard. Their main point of contact with the outside was via an elevated deck, much of the rest of the backyard was forgotten downhill.

Our brief was to extend their home in a simple, affordable way that connected the new living area to the backyard. The extension is brick veneer with hipped rooves, in keeping with the style of the existing house.

Building Features:

Connection of living spaces to different sections of the backyard. Existing building didn’t connect well to the sloped backyard which created ‘forgotten zones’ that weren’t enjoyed by the family.
